Running DS6.9 SP6 and WinPE 4.0 x64 trying to add the Intel i219-LM drivers. I've seen the following previous posts for the

    http://www.symantec.com/connect/downloads/intel-i217i218i219-drivers-winpe4-x86
    https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/adding-winpe-51-deployment-server-69-sp6

Neither of the provided drivers there work. The Dell WinPE 4.0 A06 cab, e1d63x64.inf doesnt specify the i219-LM card, the Windows 8 drivers are 8.1, and the e1d64x64.inf does specify the card (with appropriate hardware ID 15b7), but it's 8.1....

I've tried the latest Intel drivers, and sure enough there is a e1d63x64.inf, with the i219-LM listed. But still no luck.

With all the drivers that do not work, I do not get any information in the "Drivers to be installed" with appropriate refresh information listing the i219-LM card.

On a whim, I tried the Windows 7 x64 driver e1d62x64.inf which properly enumerated the information in the .inf under the "Drivers to be installed".

I checked the files line for line there are a couple of differences but the files look well formed with no corruption.

    Any help is appreciated,

    Thanks,

    The E-coy.

I had a similar problem finding WinPE 4.0 drivers for our HP EliteDesk 800 G2 machines, which also have a Intel i219-LM NIC.  In the end I found a Dell driver that works.

Hopefully this link will work here:

    http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=KJTXR&fileId=3508652136&osCode=WB64A&productCode=optiplex-7040-desktop&languageCode=EN&categoryId=NI

Let me know how you get on.  It worked 100% fine for us using 7.5 and WinPE4.0 64-bit and the driver is even backwards compatible with the i218-LM based NICs, so we simply replaced our existing driver.

I'm currently testing that driver right now. I'm largely confident I found this same driver from Intel but it didnt work.

As a side note the INF doesnt populate "Drivers to install" like other drivers have done. When you refresh the driver store on DS 6.9 it only shows the INF file but there was no hardware ID's added for the respective NIC cards. I want to say there is something malformed in the INF or maybe some INF length/size limitation in DS6.9 SP6 but I have no supporting information. I will probably call support shortly.

And it worked. Interesting. Thanks for pointing me to that driverset.

Glad it worked.  We noticed it didn't populate the DA driver list, but it did appear in the PE driver list.  We just put that down to a bug in the DA listing, but maybe it is a problem with the INF in that driverset.

    Oh well, glad it worked.

Thanks much for providing the details here. I also went crazy searching and testing various drivers from HP, Intel, Lenovo (all for the EliteDesk 800 G2) and had no luck before !!!

Much appreciate your post - thumbs up !!!

    @BBC - happy it worked :)

@easy_coy - perhaps you could mark my repsonse as the solution if you're happy with it?

I tried the link posted earlier in message for drivers and didn't work.

    I'm using Boot Disk Creator.

I'm working on a Dell Latitude E5570 and can't get the .inf for e1d65x64.sys to populate.

    Like Coy said...

IIRC I had to use all three INF files (C, D, E) and sys files from the driver set for it to work properly, even though they were not populating driver information.

I also excluded (ok deleted) all drivers related to the 318 series. T'was a custom driver for us so it was easiest to delete the driver from the store, rescan drivers and recompile the PE.

So I tried to do what COY recommended. The drivers don't refresh or show up as a choice or option to add to a configuration.

See the 2 pictures where trying to find E1D65x64.inf and E1C65x64.
