  • 1.  Dell Client Manager license count wrong.

    Hi,

    We're running Notification Server with Dell Client Manager and are seeing a licensing problem. According to our NS there are about 6400 workstations in our environment of which only around 2400 are Dell machines (as show in the "All computers with Dell Client Manager installed" collection). Even so we're exceeding our 6000 Dell CM licenses. It seems a large portion of the non-Dell machines are being counted as using Dell CM licenses as well. Where would I be able to see where these licenses are being consumed and how could I remove them from workstations where they shouldn't be used?

    As far as I know the Dell CM Solution is free, did you contact your Dell Rep? I know for sure that here in the USA you get a free unlimited license. Keep in mind that is only for the Dell CM Solution. All other Solutions like Software Delivery, Patch etc the licensing goes thru Altiris/Symantec.
