Client Management Suite

hi Everyone,

i've SMP ver 7.1 and Dell Managment Console 2.0.3.

all my network was scaned and devices were disovered. i've been pushed Symantec Agent on my workstations, data were collected. But i have small issue.

all my computers are Dell machines, but SMP system dont recognize them correctly as Dell. i dont see them in Dell Computer list menu (MANAGE -> COMPUTERS).

In Installed agent list menu are almost 50 workstatation, all Dell. So i need 'move' them to Dell Computer.

i'm looking forward some advice. Create new  inventory policy, or run some task ???

Computer model is collected by hardware inventory, so that would likely be the pre-requisite to the view you're talking about.  You should enable the install of the Inventory Plug-in policy, then enable the delta hardware, delta software, and full inventory policies.  (Collect deltas weekly on different days, and the full monthly on a non-overlapping day.)

mayby i did something wrong.

i installed SMP 7.1 with DMC 2.0.3, after upgrade system, imported data from AD, and i see my computers like UNKNOWN, so i also did new task "Assosiate Dell Devices" and nothing, my computers are still unknown.

i dont know what to do ?

Is possible to clear all discovered devices and import them again or reinstall all system once again ???

I have the same issue with the newer Dell Models like Dell 990 and Dell E6420 are not reporting the hardware inventory even though they show up in the appropriate filters. I have NS 7.1 SP2
