  • 1.  On-Demand Task Clean Up

    Hi,

    With most of Symantec Support down for maintenance can anyone provide me with some information on the on-demand task cleanup job? I know why its running. I need to find what is generating the excessive tasks in those tables and causing the maximum number of rows to being reached. My NS has a maximum number of rows of 200,000. What I am noticing is that when this is run its not flushing the task table, but just dropping it back down to under the 200,000. What I found odd was if I run the regularly scheduled cleanup task daily job I thought it would delete a sufficient number of rows so the on-demand task clean up job would not kick in. Unless the task that is going on is extremely hyper and causing these on-demand jobs to be run. Any explanation or expansion on this would be appreciated. Thanks.
