We recently upgraded to DS 7.6 from DS 6.9 as Symantec changed their license policy and we had to make a choice.
In DS 6.9 everything was working smooth and we had our own HII framework. As DS has matured we were convinced by Symantec that Deploy Anywhere would be the way to go.
Unfortuantely we have not been able to get it working. We have had several support tickets and are still working with support to resolve issues.
My question to you all is if there is anyone using 7.X with Deploy Anywhere that has this working smoothly? And if you are, could you share your tips and tricks as I am sure there must be some tweaking to get everything working.
Short introduction about our enviroment.
A central SMP with 3 site servers.
Use ghost for imageing.
Mainly HP hardware for desktops and Lenovo for portables.
Issues we are facing is
- After deploying the image - the computer does not boot into windows.
- Driver signing - tried chaning Bypass Driver Validation to all or none (no difference)
- Some models freeze when booting into windows after image deploy
And here is the funny part - when using the same image in DS 6.9 everything works fine.
