  • 1.  Disk error - need to open with a dock station

I have a customer whose PC is bad. He uses Windows 7. It seems there is a problem with windows files, so the PC does not finish the boot. I removed the disk and connected it to a dock station. The disk is recognized when I connect the dock station to a PC, but once it has the Symantec Endpoint Protection I do not have access to the files, that are encrypted. How can I unlock this disk in order to have access to the files?

SEP doesn't do encryption. Are you talking about Symantec Endpoint Encryption?

    Completing the posting:

Solution installed at the PC: Symantec Drive Encryption 10.3.0 Build 9269

    PC runs Windows 7 Enterprise
    Disk 1: HDD/USB, 298Gb, PGPWDE, 99% Encrypted

I am looking for a tip that helps me open this disk in a dock station and have access to the files.

What procedure, tool, software should I use?

    Regards/Leo
