We have many issues with 11.6.3 and IE 8. We plan on upgrading DLP to 12.5 as well as move away from IE8. My question is, has anyone had problems with IE 8 where the user experience crawls with some sites when monitoring HTTPS, and have those issues gone away when upgrading to 12. and IE 10 or 11?

I don't think the other two posts address the question that you are asking.

I have two customers who have expereinced problems with the Endpoint Agent (DLP 12.0) + IE8 + Monitoring HTTPS.

I've reached out to Symantec and there is nothing officialy listed as a bug in their e-track system.  If you do end opening up a case, please let them know there are two more customers expereincing the same problem.  IE8 is supported for monitoring so I'm not sure what is happening.

    Good luck

We have opened a case with Symantec. We discovered that some large user profiles may impact performance with IE 8 + monitoring https. Same machine we log in as different user or create new user profile and problem improves. In testing of 12.5 we have observed that even with IE11 we see slowness with larger user profiles (5 Gig plus) if we monitor https on endpoint.

Hrmm has Symantec mentioned why large user profiles like that have caused the issue?

Can you add my name to the case somehow? (Jonathan Jesse jjesse AT itsdelivers Dot com for email)

I'll reach out to my two customers to see if they are expereincing the same issues

They didn't know. They haven't seen these issues. I'll look to add your name to the case if possible.

Was out on vacation all last week.  Any update on this ?  Was the large user profile the issue?
