  • 1.  DLP cannot login the console

    Dear experts..

    I have a problem with the authorization in DLP web console. The version of DLP is 14. i cannot login the DLP console.
    The error is Invalid username/password or disabled account. I have changed my password but no any result
    My domain account is not blocked. There is no any problem with our domain controllers.

    How to solve the problem? Does the DLP has its builttin admin account or no? Plz help me> Bellow atached file

    Have you tried to log on to a server with your credentials to make sure they're OK?

    FYI the username is case sensitive.. so make sue that when you create an account in the DLP console that points to an AD account that they match cases. You cannot login on the DLP console unless someone has created a local account in the DLP console. Accounts are NOT connected to AD, it ONLY uses Ad for authenitcation purposes. 

    Also in the DLP UI, there is a setting that can disable the account as well.. so you will need to login to the console either as Administrator or as another user that can control User access. 

    As far as logging into the Console there is an "Administrator" Account that is local to the system. This username IS CASE sensitive as well so make sure you use the CAPITAL "A" in Administrator

    If you do not knwo the password for the Administrator Account, you will need to open a case with SYMC to get it retrieved.

    I want to change the Administrator password of oracle databse  and to login the DLP console, but i cannot login.

    Attached file below, What is the next step for resolving the issue. If to deinstall the DLP the oracle is deinstaled or no?

    Solim,

    It sounds like you have never logged into the console before and you do not know the Administrator password to the DLP console.

    If that is correct, there is NO WAY to retrieve the Administrator Password yourself.

    You will HAVE TO CALL SYMC support to get the password retrieved, there is NO way around this.

    They will ask for some files off of the DLP server to give you the password.. they can also then tell you have to change the DB password.

    DO NOT UNSINTALL THE APPLICATION.. you cannot reinstall the SW, it will break the encryption of the Oracle DB and you will have to start from scratch and that will DELETE ALL INFORMATION from the DB.

    Uninstalling the SW will NOT uninstall the Oracle DB.
