Hi,

If I need to monitor a Symantec DLP what documentations and other materials do I need to check for me to do it correctly and effectively?  I'm new to DLP and it was already setup and running in the production, but now I was assigned to monitor the health of it and ensure that it's 99.99% up. Any recommendation?

The admin guide is document you should start with.

I'm looking at it right now and all I'm seeing are stuff about how to use and configure DLP. Not much in the health monitoring side, can you tell me what section should I be looking for? Maybe I'm just missing it.

You can check for the Managing system events and messages section from page 134 of DLP 12.5 admin guide.

 In admin guide, you will find list of events automatically generated by DLP, so you will be able to create some alert with email notification when one of this error happened.

 To give you a priority in message to be checked it is not that easy as it depends of which DLP component you have deployed.

 Using other tools to monitor DLP, you should first check enforce and DB availability.
