DLP and the Altiris Integrated Component

Thanks for the link back to one of my articles, however the Altiris Integrated Component is now longer officially supported by Symantec and I do not think it was updated for Altiris 7.5.

The jobs and tasks that were a part of the Integrated Component can be easily recreated, however this has to be done manually.

Altries is integrated with DLP for only agent related activities so that troubleshooting of agent issues, log collection, enable  disable etc operation can be done. Nothing to do with policy or incidents.Altris used for DLP agent deployment and management.

To be very clear:

Altiris can be used for Deployment along with any other delployment technology for the Endpoint Agent.  There are NO SUPPORTED tasks for managing the agent in Altiris these days, any management of the agent would have to come through self supported tasks to do items in the system.

Please dont misinterprete my message. I have been worked on DLP and Altirs for different requirements like. Altris basicallt installed on each machine to handle all endpoint related managment like patch managment,new software installation or removal, installed software details etc. and one of task that Altirs do is DLP agent deployment and managment like pull log, restart,shutdown etc.. I understood your clarity.
