    Hi

I need to move some of the users to a new VIP that will provide access to the PGP Universal Server

And remove the old vip i update the DNS and still i see clients access the old VIP

i know windows keep DNS cache for 24 hours by default

Any one know if the client (10.2 MP5 ) keep the server address in cache

    Tx

Hi there. This isn't really a Symantec PGP Universal question, but a Symantec PGP Desktop question.

Short answer, the information stored in the Desktop application is either the FQDN you entered when you generated the msi, or what you have modified it as. Default here if the Universal installation is as per standard, is that it's the FQDN, and DNS-queries are handled by the OS, not the application. Any issues here might be resolvable via a dns flush on your clients.
