    Ajju,

I would strongly advice not to post a non-symantec link to download a symantec removal tools. What if that is packed with a Trojan or virus? Always stick to trusted web-links for recommendation. This is a serious security risk. As per Symantec's policy CleanWipe is provided on contacting the Technical Support.

Although we already have the the software...
It might help our community members well by getting the legit apps issued by Symantec.
    thanks.

This has been a hot topic for a while. The official position is that Cleanwipe is a very powerful tool that has to be used correctly, and only after all other options have been exhausted. To better control this tool Symantec requires users to call in and make a case. As of now this is the ONLY official position, and we will promptly delete all links and otherwise to downloads of cleanwipe. I am not saying that this is the best route to obtain cleanwipe in certain situations, and if anyone has a better solution to distribute it you should post it in our ideas section. I also stongly discourage anyone to use a version posted on the internet. Cleanwipe is constantly updated and using older versions with new product can damage the computer. Not trying to sound too "official" with this post, but I see this at least once every couple weeks and until someone suggest a better option this is the only thing I can say. Sorry

    No big deal Sir...
We already have the file after calling Symantec Support for an issue many months ago...
Does it mean that the file we have might not be the updated one?
how do you know that it is updated or the latest?
    thanks

I also remember that when I called Symantec Support, after giving the link to or fileshare of Cleanswip, the techsupport will state a disclaimer.

    Yes they did..
but they did not say how to know if the version is current for how many days or weeks...
How would we know that it is current?
    thanks.

After downloading the cleanswipe, you should read the Readme or Documentation with it. there is also a changelog there

Honestly you will probably be ok with the version you have, but again at your own risk. The problem is that some of the versions I have seen people passing around on the forums are from even last year. I even saw a guy trying to give a SAV version of cleanwipe to a guy who was using SEP. I don't even want to guess what would have happened with that. However officially I think I am suppose to say that you should always call in to grab the latest version. I even think that Symantec strongly urges you to delete the tool after using it (not sure on this though). So take this as you will.
