  • 1.  Does anyone have a solution for the SAUOZAX.EXE problem?

I have a SAUOZAX.EXE problem that wil not leave. It got on my cpu when someone decided to use my cpu without scaning the hard drive they put in first. Anyway, the problem i'm having is my cpu usage being at 100% 5 of every 10 seconds. It acts as a process that you cannot stop. But the thing is it is not like an application. On top of that, Endpoint finds it and can't do anything about it except block it. I'm guessing it's main purpose is to stop symantec from operating and install the fake security application so your cpu would go through all other types of hell (I had that happen a few months ago trading hard drives with the rest of my other soldiers buddies in iraq). If anyone could help it would be a good day. Thx.

The first step is always to try this guide first http://service1.symantec.com/support/ent-security.nsf/854fa02b4f5013678825731a007d06af/59ced4261979d3e78825725f007bfde5?OpenDocument. It is our 5 steps of virus troubleshooting. Specifically you will be doing a full scan in safe mode. Usually this will take care of the threat, but if it doesn't then you should post back and tell us what it said (ie reason it could not find it). Then we can help further. It very much sounds like this is a virus so I would do the full scan in safe mode (with system restore off) as soon as possible. Hopefully this works, but if not we are here to help you further : )

    Cheers
