  • 1.  does LUA server require someone logged on for scheduled jobs to run?

I have an isolated network that can only get updates via Live Update so I configured a server outside the isolated network with Live Update administrator to download updates for SEP 11 and Linux and then I have the SEP console in the isolated network configured to grab updates from the LUA server (firewall rules installed and working to allow this) once a day.
The LUA server only seems to be able to get updates from Symantec if someone is logged into the LUA console. If it times out or the server reboots, the scheduled job no longer works. I am also having the same problem with the SEP console in the isolated network as it only seems to be able to get updates from the LUA server is someone is logged into the SEP console.
    Ideas?

scheduled updates work with system account check the dcom permissions

LiveUpdate fails when run from Symantec System Center or when scheduled

    Chekc for the Proxy settings.

Check for the download and the distribution time  there should be a gap of atleast an hour between the download and the distribution schedule.

Under configure >> Preferences in the LUA    configure the internet time out value and check whether that helps.
