Most of the time when I run into a road block with the SEP install. Windows Defender is ALWAYS there. I have been having more and more machines where I needed to install an unmanaged client, then transition it to a managed client. I can't figure out why. There are NO SEP_INST.LOGS ever written when this happens.

You need to disable the windows defender service because of compatibility issue.

DISABLEDEFENDER= (1 = Disable Windows Defender, 0 = Do not disable Windows Defender, Default is 1 = Disable Windows Defender)
