    Hi everyone,

    Need help with an issue from moving my DS from one domain to another. After the move to the new domain I attemp to open the Deployment Server console I get a message to authenicate to the eXpress Database. When I put the login info in I get a message stating login is incorrect. Checked all the login info on SQL and all local accounts and problem still persists. After calling support I was told to reinstall DS. Just doesn't seem right that I need to reinstall the whole DS for authenication issues.

    Anyone ever had such an issue or any isdea how to correct without doing a rebuild

    Just a few questions to get it right:

    • Where is the databse located (local or remote)?
    • If it is remote, did the SQL server also change domain?
    • What about all the Altiris services, are they running?
    • Have you changed the account that runs the different services?
    • Have you changed the Data Sources (ODBC) settings?

    Also check the account tab under the Configuration and make sure it reflects the new domain name. See screen-shot.
