  • 1.  Doubled entries?

I've upgraded some Macs to SEP 12.1.6_MP6, although I'm seeing with on an SEP 12.1... 12.1.6867.6400, whichever one that is.  Same behavior though.

    Two issues.

If the machine is wired in, there's one entry.  If it's on wifi, there's another entry.  So I end up with two entries.

Then I upgraded to 12.1.6_MP6.  This is happening on both Win and Mac.  After the upgrade, there's a brand new 12.1.6_MP6 record in SEPM I think, but the old record is still there.  These are from manual installs, not pushing out the 12.1.6_MP6 upgrade on Win machines.  But I end up with two entries that way too.

So potentially.... wired and wifi = 2 entries, plus the upgrade = 2 entries, for a total of four entries possibly.

I end up setting off the alerts about being overdeployed when I'm actually not.  I'm getting close, but I'm still under for sure.

Is there any way to correct that on the software side?  I'm adding "delete old SEP entry" to my workflow for upgrades.  When I forget, the alerts are reminding everyone.  I also wonder what will happen when I push out the 12.1.6_MP6 upgrade to all user machines soon.  Small groups and staggered is sounding wise.

That shouldn't be happening. If you delete one (wired) after switching to wi-fi, does it come back again when switching back to wired?
