I recently upgraded my server from 6.8 sp2 to 6.9 sp2. After the upgrade the option to use DS Remote Control was missing. The only thing listed in the Remote Control sub menu is Remote Desktop. Was this feature removed?

I just looked through the release notes. The only thing it mentions about remote control is that there is limited remote control functionality using DAgent.
Have you tried reinstalling or running a repair?

Yes.  I have reinstalled it. It also happened on my test server (clean install) but I did not notice it until I had upgraded the live server.

I can't find any information on this. Unfortunately I'm still at DS 6.9 SP1 so I can't help too much. If I get a chance I'll try to set 6.9 SP2 on a test server.

Have you checked under the security options to make sure that remote control is allowed for the logged in user? If yes then try disabling security and re-enabling it. Or deleting the logins from the security rules and re-adding them again.

Ok. Remote Control is listed and working in the evaluation version of 6.9 sp2. So I think I answered my original question. It should be part of 6.9 sp2.

I am now convinced that my license file is the problem. I had to have the license file repackaged by Altiris/Symantec because I had a problem “adding” the updated file to the file that had all my node count. If I use my old license file, DS Remote Control shows back up as an option (but then I have a zero node count, again).
