So, I have a few pieces of hardware here that will just NOT connect to the network using the winPE image.
One of my thoughts was what If I took one of these PCs, and used a USB key or something to pre-stage the actual XP install files on it? somehow set it up so the next time the PC booted, it would run a unattend, pretty much identical to how Altiris does it with the OS install task.
However, what I would do is take a "backup" image of the PC using linux right before it rebooted, so that I could deploy this "backup" image to any type of hardware I wanted via linux. (IE those PCs that just do not connect to the network using winPE).
So my question is, how would i go about staging a HD with the XP installs so it is run the second it starts up?
