  • 1.  Duplicate Entries for single IP

I was noticing the other day that a couple of IPs were showing multiple name entries when I searched clients but only one was showing as connected.  I was able to discover that one of our server teams was creating and tearing down different images with the same IP thus the multiple entries.  My concern is that so long as the IP is checking in that these entries will never be purged (we have it set for 7 days without contact) but will continue to eat up licensing.  Ultimately my question is will they be purged since the named entries are not checking in or will they stay alive due to the IP?

Is the client showing connected? If so, it uses a license. If not, it will be purged per the time you set.

The IP search brings up several name entries.  So if only the one is showing connected it doesn't matter that they all have the same IP the other names will be purged?

If they don't connect then yes. The ones not connected will be purged.
