  • 1.  Encryption type used to create .PGP files?

    If I encrypt a file using Symantec Desktop Encryption and create a PGP file, what kind of encryption is being used?  Is this documented somewhere?  I've tried searching and i can only find statements about full disc encryption.

    By default it seems to use AES-256. See below:

    That refers to "Encryption Desktop Drive Encryption".  I'm talking about .PGP files.  I need a statement I can quote for PCI DSS about the encryption used in PGP encrypted files, not whole disc.
