    Hi, guys

I have a endpoint that is disabled ( or a component is ) buti can't find the solution.

The endpoint is part of a group which has 15 other endpoints without this problem.

the only thing that seems different is that on this endpoint it says that WSS Trafic is malfuctioning, none of the other endpoint has WSS installed because it is disabled by policy.

I can't delete the client, i tried but this triggers another problem and i had to put a backup back.

The client policy and the group policy match numbers.

I run Symdiag on mutiple servers to see if there are any differences and there arent any.

How can i solve this ?

    Thanks

I would download symantec cleanwipe to completly remove symantec from the machine and test a fresh install on the machine as it sounds like the client install is corrupt on that machine

Last time removing the client caused a lot of problems. Im afraid cleanwipe will cause the same.

The client works and the machine gets its virus definitions, could i just let it be ?

Have you tried a repair on the client? add/remove programs > highlight endpoint protection > change/modify/repair

If you are happy that you don't want to use that component then I would say yes leave it if defintions on other elements are fine.

What problems did removing the client cause last time?

Yes i did but that didnt work.

The server is being used in a secure print environment, removing the client caused the server not to synchronize with the follow me server.

With it being a secure print server do you have a hardened GPO on it for security?

I came accross this not sure if it's relevent. Also sometimes I've found in the past replacing the sylink can sometimes fix the issue so try a new sylink file on the SEP client too.
