    Hi,

I've installed symantec endpoint in one of my customer, and what i need is to make a documentation about the Policies. Is there any way to export the policies to HTML or MHTML as we can do with reports?

    Thank's a lot!

You cannot export the policies ,however if you want to send a report to your customer saying that what policies are applied and things like that, may u need to prepare a run book with a format..

PM if you need that , good day

The policy cannot be exported in HTML or MHTML, but they can be exported in .dat format, that will not server your objective.

What kind of documentation you want to make about the policy ??

    Hi,
I'm missing an option for this as well. What I've done is listing all policies in Excel (also using the help button on each tab), added also the default settings and provided comments why I changed the default setting.
It was a lot of work but it gives me a good overview. I'm sorry that I can not give you the document since it's protected information.
    Regards,
    Coen.

In case you have a contact within Symantec you can ask them to export the serdef.dat in a visible format. This also gives you an overwiew of waht polices are set on the client. It's very cryptic, so I don't think your customer has any use for it.

This kind of option you really miss when you need to do a documentation to larges company!!!
And I contacted the symantec and I've asked them if they could export the "policy.dat" to a visible format and the answer was "not"
