I recently installed Windows 7 32-bit  (reformat & install) and ensured that it was working well.  I then installed Symantec Endpoint Protection v11.  Not long after the installation of SEP my system crashed (BSOD - nwifi.sys).   Every time I attempt to normal boot the system it crashes (shortly after the login prompt is displayed).

I can login just fine in SAFE mode.   I tried to uninstall SEP while in Safe mode but got the message "Windows Installer Service could not be accessed."

I would re-install W7 again, but I can't get the system booted normally to start the install.  I've tried chaning the BIOS boot order to go to the Optical Drive first, but it is not seeing the media to do the install from.    At this point, I'm kinda hosed...and don't see a way around my current problem.

BSOD caused by nwifi.sys - Can you give this a try?

Go to Control Panels, Power Options and change it to High Performance.

I was able to resolve the Windows 7  BSOD (nwifi.sys) problem by stopping & disabling all the Symantec processes.   I do have one last question.   Is SEP v11 supported with Windows 7?  If so, how do I get it working?

    Right click on 'my computer'
    select "Manage"
on the left pane, open services and application
    select Services.
on the right pane you will see a list of services.
    right click on Symantec.
    click on properties
    stop the Symantec process
change the startup type to disable..
     reboot the computer..

Thank you for the assistance.   It seems that Live Update needs to be installed prior to SEP.    Since I now know how to resolve this problem if it occurs again, I'd like to try installing Live Update first and then SEP.   Where can I get the Windows 7 (32-bit) Live Update installer?

Inside your Installation media in SEP folder you can findout it. It's name is LUsetup.exe
