I am currently experiencing an issue with settings saving. Every time i enable endpoint to auto-protect, I get green lights across the board. I then restart the computer its right back to being disabled.
I am running Windows XP Pro 32-bit, I just installed fresh copy then loaded drivers then symantec, and still no dice.

    HI,

You can check that in the services.msc all the symantec services are started and their startup mode is set to Automatic, not manual.

If you open this client interface whether you are getting any error message?
I yes what is the error message?
If no leave that pc for some time and see whether that dot is coming automatically or not.

My computer will not turn on unless I open windows in "safe mode". I am afraid my computer has been infected. Please help! I am getting the warning message "File System Auto-Protect is malfunctioning". When I click the options box to the right of the message, it gives me the option to "view threat list". There are over 74,000 risks and I cannot figure out how to delete these risks. What can I do to fix this? I need to use my computer multiple times daily and cannot afford to waste the time to take it into someone to fix. Please help!!

    Thanks,

    Emily

Double click the client icon on the system tray, and check wich feature is disabled and tell it us here.
