  • 1.  EP Cloud Availability Outside US

    Ok so EP Cloud was announced available to the US via a blog post dated Sept 12 2016 (sorry I no longer have the link handy).  However is there any knowledge about availability outside the US?  I am a Symantec partner in Canada and have been told that it's likely sometime in 2017.  To me that seems really odd and way too far away.  Two weeks ago I was also told that the US deployment of the product was in the 4th quarter, so that level of general amguity tells me that it's possible this stuff may change from day to day and that who knows, maybe it'll be in Canada after the weekend or something.  Is there a feed somewhere to stay aprised of all this?

    Hi,

    Thanks for writing in. The global availability of Symantec Endpoint Protection Cloud (SEPC) is slated for 2016 Q4, and we are definitely on track to meet that goal.

    Currently, SEPC is available for the North Americas, however, the trial is available globally. The trial is a full-featured trial for 60 days.

    Thank you Praneeta!  That's a great start.  However you said it is available in the North Amercas - is that in error though?  Because North America would also include Canada but I'm under the impression it is not available here in Candada yet. 

     

    I will try the trial, I did not realize it was a global trial, very good to know.

    I noticed just now that the link to the trial sign-up is for US only.  There is no option to change country.  One must falsely provide a State and ZIP Code.  I don't mind doing this but is this the way Symantec suggests?

    I still see that the trial is only available to the US.  When following the link provided above, the form requires you to create an account that is US-only.

    The trials as well as Sales are currently US-only. I stand corrected. Apologies for the confusion on the trials.
