    Hi...

             Step 1:first uninstall previous version of symantec 

             Step 2:download the new package from symantec site.Note download it in fresh system.

             Step 3:copy that in pen drive. install the package immediately.

             Step 4:If same problem occurs format the pendrive then copy and install it quickly.

             step 5:if error occurs again do it step 4 again.

             Step 6: i hope this will works fine.

    You mean to say performing the above 6 steps will overcome the error 1920!?

    s.. try that with new package.. old one may be affected by virus.

    Better we can try installing with admin previleges?

    Its has been observed that this error occurs due to insufficient permissions on he following folders.(Depends on 32 and 64 bit OS)

    The SYSTEM and Administrators accounts do have full control to: C:\Windows\
    The SYSTEM and Administrators accounts do have full control to: C:\Windows\System32\
    The SYSTEM and Administrators accounts do have full control to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\
    The SYSTEM and Administrators accounts do have full control to: C:\Program Files (x86)\A.
