  • 1.  Error after upgrading from SEP MR4 to SEP MR4MP1a

    Posted Apr 22, 2009 11:16 PM
    HI,

Yesterday I upgraded my SEPM from MR4 to MR4MP1a as well as few client machines.

Today morning after restarting the machines say around 30 min, I got some errors as attached below.

    connect/imagebrowser/view/image/803491/_original
    connect/imagebrowser/view/image/803501/_original
    connect/imagebrowser/view/image/803511/_original
    connect/imagebrowser/view/image/803521/_original

    Please check.

The above errors are on the client machines and not SEPM server.

On how many computers are getting these errors ?If it is all then it is a problems if it is just one or two.
It might have happened due to high cpu usage or something we will have to check.

I deployed this on 5 machines, and currently on 2 machine we faced this issue.

Also note that schedule scan was running on the system when we got such errors.

    Donny:- Re-installation isn't a solution.

Is this is a client stability issue and is this to be addressed in MR2?

I mean everything may happen on SEP11,so reinstallation is also a walk around solution, I think.
If reinstallation can solve this problem, it should be an event with small probability, otherwise you have to run debug , don't you think it will cost you lots of time.

    Docy,

Its better to troubleshoot an issue rather then re-installation. Same applies to an infected machine. Its better to search for a sample and send to Security response team for analysis rather than formating a machine. If its a known issue then Symantec will definately resolev in there upcoming or later build/release.

Hence this will benefit not only to me but to all of the customer globally.
