Symantec is aware of this issue and is currently investigating it. This document will be updated as soon as more information becomes available..

( THIS IS A WORK AROUND)

Take the backup of the regisrty and then

Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\ AutoEndTasks  and set the value to 1

ccApp.exe is the mail scanning component of SEP.You remove the mail scanning components also.As far as I knows if you are having a good mail scanning software is present in your organization, nothing much to do with these components...

If you have had the following problem while shutting down... Your PC just hangs and never shuts down....

and you see a message telling you something about the file ccApp.exe prevents you from shutting down your computer.

This is due a corrupted file that you could delete from one of the following locations:

From: %temp%    delete   scclog.txt   (just type %temp% in the Run bar)

    and/or

    From: C:\Windows\Temp\  delete scclog.txt

The scclog.txt file may be hidden, and sometimes I need to boot-up using my USB Active@BootDisk and delete there.

This Solution has demonstrated to work on Dell Optiplex & Latitude Computers.
