Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition

At my work we have a small network with Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition vers. 12

There is one computer that gives an error ;  " 1 computer reported file reputation lookup issues. " 

I did some reading with the help from google, ending in a symantec forum but did not find the solution for this error.

The network connection is stabel and does not give us any problems.

At this time the error is repported frequently.

Is it possible that  software like Virtualbox (Oracle VM) and a iso file with Lunix Ubuntu Xenial can create an error like this?

It is a standaard computer with normal software installed, just like lthe other computers in our network, witch don`t have these errors.

Can anybody help me with this one?

Even though the connection is fine there could've been a small blip that caused this. Certainly same goes for this happening with VB and its virtual adapter(s). What is the exact SEP version?

Is this issue continuing or has it stopped? Did thi just start or has it always given you issues?

The software on the computer shows that it is version 12.1.5 ( 12.1 RU5) build 5337 .

 Perhaps it is an idea to remove Symantec  and to do a reinstall?

I also can remove Oracle VB with the Ubuntu iso and see what is happening?

Or is it/there  something else you can advise?

Hello Brain,

Ik had some spare time and did the following things;

Removed Oracle Virtualbox and the iso of Linux, also virtuel`s box virtuel networkadapter.

No changes, uninstalled Symantec AV....reinstalled it...nothing, the errors keep popping up.

Used a different utp connection, also a new utp cable....and it is still the same.

I did noticed a new fact....the error keeps on coming every day now, at alomst the same time,.....10:05 or 10:06 am.

But...it happens every day of the week, not only on a working day!

What can i do to stop these errors on this computer?

Hope you can provide me some informatien.

This is occurring, even without SEP installed?

No, i did the uninstall and reinstallation on the same day. But the  time of the reports are constantly on  10:09, 10:10 or 10:11 am. Strange?

And this time the reporst were also generated on a saturday and sunday....we we are normally closed at the weekend and people shut down there pc after a working day.

I am going to ask the guy who works with that computer if he did shut down his pc for the weeken.

I am still having the errors given by SEP " File Reputation Detection Triggering Notification "  . (Reputation check for unproven files failed because of network errors for the last 3 days. )

Is there anything i can do to stop the errors / notification?

Turning warning options off is not wanted, this is the only pc with this problem.

Machine works fine, extra scans show no problems, it looks normal. I tried sereval things, no results.

Do you have any tips ?

I have tried several things, checked the internetconnection, did scans, and even  a removal and new setup.

The error dissapeard suddenly....i dont know what happend...or why.

I am sorry...i can not give you a hint or tip.
