    Hi

I am currently trialing Altiris and attempting download the patch data for Redhat linux. When I click import channels on the patch management page I get the error: failed to connect to red hat server network....invalid name format.

When i go into the site directly I am able to sucessfully login. When i initally ran the channel import it ran sucessfully however i was then unable to run the full import of patch data. Now I can not even run the channel import.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this??

    Thanks

I'm also attempting to do some testing with Patch and Linux and running into slightly different issue.  I suspect your problem is with Step 5:

    Step 5

    Type the credentials.

Type the Novell Mirror Credentials and Red Hat Network account credentials.

    See Configuring Linux remediation settings.

    http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO63748

I created an account with Redhat and put the credentials into the above step and it will show as completing successfully. My issue is that it does not import any channels?  After you put in your credentials did this resolve your problem?  And where you able to successfully import channels?
