Are you using which IE architecture? x86 or x64? If you are using the IE x64, don't forget to install the Java for x64 version. Same for x86.

If the Jave is correct installed, check on "manage Add-ons" if the Java Plugin is enabled.

If you go here in IE - does it detect Java being installed?  If not, I'd work on getting that part working first.  Maybe try another machine.

Note: Oracle recommends most users run Java 8 update 111 (critical patch update, CPU). 112 isn't a newer version, it's 111 plus new features (patch set update, PSU).  Also 111 and 112 expire today, so you likely will be seeing new version available by tomorrow.

- First thing first. What is your SMP version you are running? If you are running the 7.6 version or older, your Altiris console will work only in Internet Explorer.

- I suggest you to use the Internet explorer x86 and also install the Java x86 in your computer. Give a try on this. Also verify the site that Sally5432 have sent and check if your Java is installed.

-Have you tried to access the same Altiris page in another computer?

My Altiris console is working fine and I'm running Java 8 u111.
