• 1. An error occurred loading import rules

Posted Jul 31, 2016 07:51 AM

Hello! I was faced with the problem described in this article - https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH40682.html

The difference is that I use 7.1 version of SMP. I've already tried to disable all import rules at the database level (by sql queries) and reinstall the Directory Service component (altiris_directoryservices_7_1_sp2_mp1_x64.msi). Where can I find the source of the problem?

In the log file I found this error -
<event date="Jul 21 05:52:12 +00:00" severity="2" hostName="SRVNAME" source="ReplicationJobThread" module="AeXSVC.exe" process="AeXSvc" pid="1468" thread="457" tickCount="1317332207"><![CDATA[A non-fatal exception occured during replication. The replication job will be restarted from the last check point. (JobID: {a946307c-d3d7-473d-ad30-525740f71730}, Exception: System.Net.WebException: The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized.

The error appears in a browser on the management server. This is not a remote access to the console. Should we look for the cause in IIS?

You could look in the IIS and/or HTTPERR logs for what URL was being accessed that gave te 401 error.

Very strange. If you open the console with the user's place, after setting all the add-ons page loaded with rules properly! The problem in the browser on the management server.

In my opinion, it would not be wise to check the settings for "Default Web Site" from the IIS Management Console (screenshots).

In my test 7.6 install the Default Web Site uses the "Classic .NET AppPool".

One note I made in my 7.1 days was, for the NS: In IE, add the SMP URL as an "Intranet site", check the "Enable Integrated Windows Authentication" checkbox in IE (under Tools_>Internet Options->Advanced->Security)

Thank you very much for the information! Fortunately, I localized problem. Based on the Job ID of the log file with error 401 I came to the conclusion that this error occurs when the replication of data in the hierarchy of objectives . Accordingly, it will verify the credentials that are currently used.
