  • 1.  Error when trying to edit a Virtual Machine resource

    Posted Apr 03, 2012 02:09 PM

I'm trying to determine why I'm getting an error when trying to edit Virtual machine resources.

We're running Alitiris 7.1, any information would be appreciated.

To reproduce, from the Management console, I go to...

Home > Service and Asset Management > Manage Configuration Items > Computers an Peripherals > Virtual Machine

Right click and select "edit" and the following error appears...

    Server Error in '/Altiris/AssetContractCommon' Application.

    Hi,

    Please try this:

    1. Using Notepad, open the web.config file found in <drive-letter>:\Program Files\Altiris\CMDB\Web.
    2. Do not make any changes to the web.config file; simply click FileSave. This will trigger a recompilation of all .aspx pages under the CMDB web.

    Regards,

Thanks or your suggestion. Someone in our organization applied the SP2 upgrade to our Altiris envoronment before I tried your suggestion. Fortunately, it seemed to resolve our issue.

    Thanks again!!
