Any SMTP compliant would work just fine

It supports integration with any SMTP-compliant Mail Transfer Agent (MTA) and cloud services such as Microsoft Exchange Online and Symantec Email Security.cloud.

Exchang 2013 is supported but is not mentioned specificly. Exchange implemented strict RFC compliance accoding to their website starting with Exchange 2007. If you look at our MTA integration documentation we dont list any MTAs other than to say that as long as they are compliant with SMTP it will work and then we list the verbs that the proxy must be able to use for email. In practical terms all email systems use SMTP for intra system communication and implement the SMTP standard such that in practical terms we dont have to certifiy each individual email system; at this point they all work.
