Hi guys,

I wanted to exclude software from patch management (ns6.5 R13).

When i looked at the list i noticed that you see thing like "windows xp" and "windows xp -inv"

Does anyone know the differences between the two?

If the patch released by Microsoft is language specific,  then Windows XP – English, Windows XP – French is associated and patch for each language is released separately by Microsoft with separate Download URL.  In this case, language specific software like Windows XP – English is being associated. However when there is Single Patch for all languages i.e. Patch does not depend on underlying language then we use Windows Xp – Inv.

So if one wants to exclude Windows XP patches to be imported, then need to select all available resource related in exclusion list like Winnows XP – English, Windows Xp – Inv etc…
