  • 1.  failed install SEp12.1.6.8 to Win2003R2

    hello colleaque,

    I have upgrade  SEP12.1.6 MP5 to SEP12.1.6 MP8 on Windows Server 2003 R2 32BIT. Upgrade fails. I run CleanWipe, restart server twice and want to Install SEP12.1.6 MP8. And have error.

    From sep_inst.log:

    MSI (s) (2C:D0) [10:47:09:960]: Product: Symantec Endpoint Protection -- The installer integrity check failed with error code 0x80096010. Common causes for this failure include an incomplete download, damaged media, or problems with the Trusted Root certificate store.

    What the problem? What can I do?

    I opened case, but it is very long time to waiting feedback. Customers Server without protection.

    This was supposed to be fixed in 12.1.6 MP4:

    Does it have the correct cert?

    Hello,

    I found the reason. Virus PetyaA encripted file License.rtf on my PC. I did not check it and imported this package to SEPM14. When I downloaded new install pkg from Symantec and replace bad pkg on SEPM all worked fine.
