  • 1.  Failed KB2491683 installation - MS11-024

    We have problem with bulletin MS11-024. There is KB2491683 and this patch accroding Altiris Patch Man 6.x is vulnerable and during installation fails. According MBSA scanning this patch is not missing so it should not be installed and should not be marked as vulnerable.

    Could you please check it?

    We have the latest PMimport 6.x and using Notification server 6.0

    Hello,

    Could you provide for us the operating system (and Service Pack level) of the machine experiencing this issue?  Also, the version of "Fxscover.exe" on that machine would be very helpful as well.

    Sorry for delay. We are using Vista build 6002 SP2. I did not find "Fxscover.exe" in System32.

    Adding IsApplicable rule for (KB2491683 update) to check fxscover.exe application is installed or not on the system.

     Fix will be available in May-11 fourth week build release.
