  • 1.  Failed to load resource associations

I have a rule CMDB, where I list a collection of computers and add to a specific resource association. By performing this task, I am finding the following error:

Failed to load resource associations. [An item with the same key has Already Been added.]

We find no error logs in detail, just the same message.

Does anyone have any idea what was going on?

I just started recieving this too.  On assets that have been importing just fine for the last few weeks?!

I noticed that even giving this error, the rule places the information in the asset. You got any progress?

Analyzing the error and making troubleshooting this error happens when there is active with the same name or assets that is not possible to change (read only). For assets that are somo read-only (not the agent is installed and the computer is not active on the network) I'm deleting the workstation console.

Started getting this on the 30th on a CMDB rule that has been running fine for years.

Found my problem... some how our HD created a resource the the same name and domain. I deleted both resource by pulling them up in the resource manager by the guid. Once they were both deleted they CMDB rule ran completely. The correct resource will populate back into SMP once it is back online.
