  • 1.  False positive 553 - Message Filtered

    Greetings - 

    All of my companies emails are being bounced by any customer that uses Symantec cloud / MessageLabs with the following error message - 

    Error Details
    Reported error:
    550 5.0.350 Remote server returned an error -> 553 Message filtered. Refer to the Troubleshooting page at;http://www.symanteccloud.com/troubleshooting for more;information. (#5.7.1)

     

    We use Office 365. Also, any of these customers also get their emails bounced if they try to send to us. I have submitting sample emails following these instructions - https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH233678.html#Instructions

    Same here.  It started about 1-2 weeks ago

    Send a sample of the email that's getting blocked to:

    Investigation@review.symantec.com

    Send it as a .msg attachment and include the 553 error code.

    I'm having the exact same problem. Since yesterday all emails sent to clients that use Symantec / Message Labs are being blocked. I've checked and we are deinitely not on any blacklists. Our SPF record is set up exactly as Microsoft (Office 365) says it should be. We are not an open relay. We do not send any bulk marketing emails. We're just a normal company who cannot send to our clients any more. I've also just been told, that any of our clients who use MessageLabs cannot send to us either.

     

    Help, please!!!!

    I am having the same issue and it started on 2/22/18. Oryx, i am on the same boat as you. O365, no open relay, no blacklist, dkim and spf configured correctly. Users are getting irritated. What is going on? I cannot contact Messagelabs since we are not a coustomer. Can't call the IT dept of each company blocking us. They are huge businesses and don't have their internal IT staff easily available to troubleshoot.

    Also experiencing the same problem. No configuration issues. Using Google G Suite, this is hurting our company. There has to be a better process to get this resolved. 

    I have also submitted samples to Investigation@review.symantec.com and have yet to get a reply after two weeks.
