  • 1.  File Share Encryption problem with Win 10 Enterprise v 1809

    I have set up a test machine with Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit v. 1809, Office 2019 Enterprise 64 bit and Encryption Desktop 10.4.2 MP1. When I right click on a file or folder, the "Encrypt with Symantec File Share . . ." feature will not work, but the "Encrypt with Symantec File Share ... Advanced" will work (after I select the keys for encryption). I get the same behavior on a different test system with Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit v. 1809, Office 201*6* Enterprise 64 bit and Encryption Desktop 10.4.2 MP1. All other features of Symantec Encryption Desktop work as they should in these environments. I suspect that Microsoft caused this with some change from Win 10 v 1803 to v 1809. Is there a fix for this (existing or in process)? Thanks

    Hi Wilson,

    Symantec Encryption Desktop 10.4.2 supports Windows 10 (Version 1809) with MP1 installed so you're OK in that regard:

    Are there any messages in the logs that shed more light on this?
