I installed the SPC 2.0 and i forgot the SPC_Admin password i put during installation , is ther are any way to reset this password because i cant login to the server ? or i should reinstall it again?

I have symantec Endpoint on my server, Apparently the password that I have written down is wrong.  I saw from another post that there is a way to change it from the command line.  Can you email those instructions to me.

The command line reset was specifically for Symantec Protection Center 2.X reset of the spc_admin password.

If this is what you need, I can send those to you. If you want to reset the Symantec Endpoint Protection products password, then that is a different story, and I would have to check and see what the best way to do that is.

It seems that there is a password reset batch file located in the Tools folder.

Navigate on your local drive to the installation path of your Symantec Endpoint Protection. Locate the Tools folder.

Look through the batch files that are listed, finding the resetpass.bat file.

Execute the file.

Logon to the management console with Username: admin Password: admin

Reset your password right away.

Create a secondary administrator account.

If this doesn't work you may need to uninstall then reinstall the product to create a new admin account and password.
