Good morning, How can I free up licenses for endpoints? We are currently over-deployed for licenses and believe we may have licenses that we may be able to free up. Thanks

You need to delete machines from the SEPM that no longer connect. By default, machines that do not connect are removed after 30 days.

How to delete clients that have not connected to the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager for a specified time

Thank you we have this setting in place. Is there a way to investigate if the deletion is happening or working correctly?

You'd need to look at the 'Last Time Status Changed' field in the SEPM. You could probably pull that and compare the times.

I read in another post that "Last status changed" was not the last time a machine checked in.

I just compared SEP client and SEPM check-in and it was accurate.
