    Any one had this? Unable to take the first full inventory on the NS7.1 server itself....

    Maintenance Windows are turned off.

    Win2008 ENT

    SQL 2005 (off box)

    I am not experiencing the same issue with my Altiris 7.1 installation.

     

    Silly question but:

    • Have you installed the Inventory Plugin on the server?
    • Do you have licenses for Inventory Solution?

    Yeah - I get this on new clients. It seems the initial full inventory fails until the agent updates itself. I'm runnin the latest version of CMS. I assume when I run the agent install it installs the older agent then updates itself as the agent update policy is on. After it does the update it then takes an inventory successfully. I dont know if thats related to your problem though!
