  • 1.  Function error in mail log after upgrade to 3.2.1

    Hello all,

after upgrading PGP Universal Server with PUP to 3.2.1, the following errors appear in mail log:

SMTP-00288: error handling SMTP DATA event: out of memory
SMTP-00288: ERROR: function keygetkeyid32(character varying) does not exist
        SMTP-00288: Error preparing SQL statement "SELECT mak.uuid FROM mak JOIN (SELECT key.uuid AS key_uuid FROM key WHERE keyGetKeyID32(key.keyid) = $1 UNION ALL SELECT subkey.key_uuid AS key_uuid FROM subkey WHERE keyGetKeyID32(subkey.subkeyid) = $1) key_uuid_union ON mak.key_uuid = key_uuid_union.key_uuid;"

The mails won't get encrypted anymore.

The server also shows the "Migration failed" message under Update, but that doesn't have to be critical as I already read on the forum.

    Any ideas on this?

Just a side note - what version did you upgrade from?

Looks like you have done the correct upgrade path, I have not come across this issue before, hopefully one of the higher up tech supp guys from Symantec can give you a hand.

    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH167507

At the end of the article, it provide steps to clean update history

Complete steps, then re apply the update. But before that, check available resources (memory, disk space, swap memory...) using top command.

    Good luck

Isn't that a netbackup or BE error?  If so you're in the wrong forum, you need to go to the Backup and Recovery section
