I am getting this error message "failed to set symantec endpoint protection manager service account acls" when I am trying to reinstall SEPM on my server, it comes on when I am trying to create database, why is it that way?
Hi Beckley,
Please see Symantec support article - https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH223311.html
Hope this helps,
I can't seem to open the link,it is giving me an error "Internal Server Error - Read"
I see it too, usually means an issue on their side. Give it a try later on.
Or use the Google's cached version which should cover what you need to know.

Please can I get the link to download the newest version of SEPM? I am still having the same issues with this version....thank you
You can download the latest version of SEPM from http://fileconnect.symantec.com and enter your serial number to gain access.
during the install it would get stuck at applying ACLs
that time Open Services.msc
set all the Symantec Manager services to LOCAL SYSTEM
I did all that still did not work,I even created a new server 2012 and tried installing it afresh, still did not work, tired of the whole symantec idea, thanks guys for your help though
If you are still seeing issues please open a support ticket with Symantec for additional assistance.
