    We are trying to restore a Windows XP ghost image. The ghost app creashes when restoration reaches 99%. Tried multiple times with the same result. Here's first half of the the error detail. 2nd half is posted in the next post.

    Please post all your related entires in the same post - otherwise it is very confusing for people to see post that is end of other post that relates to nothing.

     

    It looks like there is some incompatibility with your BIOS. Ghost will try to use own heuristics based on BIOS data to generate new disk ID when restoring an image and for some reason it crashes while trying to access some BIOS services.

     

    You can force ghost not to create new disk ID by using switch -fdsp.
