    Hi All,

    I created a backup of a customers machine using ghost version 2003 before doing a re-format and re-install. It was backed up to a mapped network drive from a network dos boot disk (Barts).
    I tend to keep these incase something didn't get backed up and in this case something didnt.

    I then tried to dump the backup onto a spare drive and it fails with the following;
    "Usage error 10027"
    "Unknown image format: code 65: later ghost version required"

    As that didnt work I installed ghost explorer 2002 (can't find the 2003 cd ATM) and tried opening the image, this gives me;
    "This image file has been created with a version of Ghost earlier than 3.0"

    does anyone have any ideas of what to try.

    TIA for any help

    You can try latest version of GSS from www.ghost.com. Latest release is 2.5 (ghost 11.5) and it is backward compatible to way-way back. You can use trial version for 30 days. You have few restirctions like: you cannot restore images and you dont have PXE but otherwise it is fully functional version.
