Ghost Tools and AHCI Support

Does GSS 2.5 (and Ghost 11.5) natively support hard drives configured for AHCI?

I have been having many issues in using Ghost32, WinPE, GDisk32, and other tools on machines whose drives are configured for AHCI. The machines I am specifically having issues with is the Dell Optiplex 755's and some older Dell Precision Workstation 380's.

The biggest issue is (random) clients locking up when booting to the WinPE-512 based Ghost Boot Partition.  Not every client, not every time, but when this does happen I can get WinPE booting by switching to ATA mode in the BIOS.

The GBP usually locks up processing this command:

    "gdisk32.exe /revert   1>>x:\ghost\startlog.txt"

If I change the BIOS to ATA, the client processes the command and starts the console client like normal.

I have also seen clients never get past the "Vista" starting bar when configured for AHCI.

In my WinPE-512 image, I have added the Intel Matrix Storage Manager drivers for Windows Vista/2008 version 8.5.0.1032, which should enable access to the drives in AHCI mode.

I have also noticed that Ghost tools (such as GDisk32 and GhWalk32) take much longer to run on drives configured for AHCI as opposed to ATA configured drives.

Can anybody fill me in on using AHCI with GSS 2.5?

    Thanks.
