Ghost Solution Suite

HI - I am new to the Ghost imaging solution moving from SCCM. A little history on our setup:

Running Server 2016 (for GSS 3.1 MPV 5)

connecting to remote SQL database using a domain account and network authentication

We were able to connect to the database during setup and all seemed to process normally. Now when I try and open Ghost Solution Suite Console I get the following error: Unable to connect to the database. Would you like to try to open a different site? In the event veiwer I see an event for dbmanager.exe;

Daniel,

First off make sure the db service ("Altiris Deployment Server DB Management") is running.

When you did the initial install, you were prompted for a username and password. Has that username or password been changed recently since the install of GSS?

If so open services and right click on the Altiris Deployment Server DB Management service, navigate to the "Log On" tab and update the username and password shown here. This needs to be set to an administrator account. Also make this change for the "Altiris Express Server" service.

I was able to resolve this issue by rebuilding the server it appears that the database had become currupted. Thank you for your help
